Watercolor...Exploring Nature Up Close - Spring 2019

Registration for SPRING classes begins at noon on December 3rd.*  (*Registration must start on a week day.)

Watercolor for Intermediate Students

If you are been drawn to the patterns created by nature, this class is for you.  We will work on a close-up painting of subjects and textures found in the forest or the garden.  The goal is to reinforce what you know about watercolor techniques, color, and composition, as well as to explore some non-brush techniques that add texture to your paintings.

JoAnn Pippin, a signature member of both the Southern Watercolor Society and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, will teach a 5-session watercolor class that will help you see and paint what you love.  During these classes you will work on a painting that you will be proud of while learning how to compose an effective painting, how to use color for pizazz, and how to work with and without brushes for interesting effects.

Materials will be discussed in the first session, so come with the supplies you have, but DO NOT go out and buy materials until after session 1.

Bring pictures or ideas of what you would like to paint.
