Introduction to Leather - Summer 2018

Two weeks of this course will be a very basic introduction to tooling and working with vegetable tanned (or hard leathers).  The rest of the course will focus on working with soft leathers, basic pattern making and various hand construction methods for pouches and bags.  Half of our time will be spent on simple class projects introducing you to various tools and techniques, while the other half will be open for you to pursue projects of your own interest or creation.
