Watercolors “Sunrise, Sunset” - Spring 2020

You probably have many photos of these two visual miracles. You’ve probably looked at them many times wanting to paint one. The watercolor technique Wet-in-Wet is a perfect way to splash those wonderful colors on your paper, then follow up with some foreground using more defined techniques.  Bring your paints, paper, color palette and reference photos to explore this theme while reinforcing what you know about watercolor techniques, color, and composition—and maybe learning some new tricks!

JoAnn Pippin, a signature member of both the Southern Watercolor Society and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, will teach a 5-session watercolor class that will help you see and paint what you love.  During these classes watercolorists with some experience will work on a painting using techniques perfect for the subject, learning effective composition and how to use minimum pigments to achieve pizazz in your paintings.
