Week 1 - Wet Felt Mini Landscape:  Working with wool in miniature is challenging but worthwhile. Using wool roving, silk fibers, and yarns, we will create pieces of felt to use on a notecard, for a journal cover or to frame as a mini work of art.   Wool will be the glue to hold your painting together, and other fibers add detail and texture to your mini scape. A wool base will be laid out then other fibers will be added to paint a picture.  Warm, slightly soapy water will be added then the piece will be rubbed and rolled to tangle and bind the fibers in to a non-woven fabric, felt.  To full the piece more rolling will be done to make it more dense and thick. Felt making can be strenuous, easier done standing. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet.  Or bring an apron.  Each person should bring two old bath towels.

Week 2 - Wrapped Wire Jewelry:  Create a wire wrapped pendant or ring.

Week 3 - Stained Glass Suncatcher:  Try your hand at creating your own stained glass suncatcher using the copper foil method. Learn the steps of creating a colorful, one of a kind star - including pattern prep, glass cutting, copper foiling and soldering. You'll leave class with your very own masterpiece!

Week 4 - Leather Pouch: Learn to create your own elk leather drawstring pouch.
