Bill Hedrick, aka " Burny", has been refining his passion for BBQ for nearly 30 years. In 2014, his family traded in the "city-life", left Atlanta, and moved to a farm in Ashe County. In addition to enjoying the c. 1905 restored farmhouse, his family is busy developing a CSA share program providing vegetables, eggs, and in the near future, honey to their customers. All work together on the farm as well as in the construction and tourism industries in Boone. Bill shares his cooking skills in the community with Mast General Store sample days and with non-profits such as: Freedom Farm, Kari's Home, Hope Pregnancy Center, and Alliance Bible Fellowship.
