Are you having difficulty getting your digital photographs to look like what you envisioned when displayed on a screen or printed? Do you have older film and printed images that you would like digital? Do you want your post-holiday/vacation images to come to life?
In this beginning photography class, become the shutter bug with confidence. Learn to navigate your camera menus and use camera settings to your advantage for correct exposure. Learn about tips and tricks from Aperture through the Zone system and back again. Finally, learn image manipulation software and file storage to decide what file size is needed for email over printing along with repairing family photos.
Types of photography that will be covered: landscape and nature photography, portrait photography, and time lapse photography.
We will begin each session with a demonstration and presentation, followed by open questions and answers about that week’s topic. Each session will also reserve time for one-on-one instruction and troubleshooting. Depending on the class size and interest specific additional meetings will be dedicated to cover topics such as digital presentations/online albums, portrait lighting, field trips, preparing (film/print) images for scanning, and printing, matting, and framing.
My intention is to assist you to become a better photographer with a portfolio of images that pleases you.
