Exploratory Beginning Pottery – Eric Reichard

Instructor:

This class is for the beginning student who is interested in exploring the process of working with clay. Students will have the opportunity to learn several hand building techniques and the basics of wheel throwing. Surface design and glazing techniques will also be explored.

Craft Enrichment pottery classes draw on the individual technical and aesthetic interests of each instructor. Through group instruction, hands-on experiences and individual help, both beginning and advanced ceramics students will expand their knowledge of throwing on the potter’s wheel, hand building, surface decoration, glaze application, and pottery design. A variety of clays and glazes are available for Cone 6 oxidation firing.
