Intermediate Pottery with Brett McDonough - Spring 2020

Registration for FALL classes begins at noon on December 2.  (*Registration must start on a week day.)

This class is open to all, but is aimed at students who have some prior experience in pottery and want to take it to the next level. We will cover more challenging throwing and hand building techniques, improving pottery form, and learning more advanced design strategies for glazing, as well as draw inspiration from historic and contemporary pots. There will be weekly demonstrations and samples shown, with lots of time in class to work on your skills.

The course fee includes 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and cone 6 oxidation firings. Cone 10 firing and additional clay are available for a fee. A variety of clays are available, and clay used in class must be purchased from the Craft Enrichment Program.

The Craft Enrichment clay studio is a teaching studio designed for the development and enhancement of knowledge and skills. It is not for volume production of items or for production of items for commercial sale. However, the Craft Enrichment Program does encourage participation in the December and May student sales and the Empty Bowls event.
