Intermediate / Advanced Jewelry -- Spring 2019

Participants in this advanced jewelry class will learn the additional techniques necessary to produce rings, pendants and other items in sterling silver, copper and brass. Participants may choose from a variety of intermediate and advanced projects of their own design such as bezels, rivets, etc. In Advanced Jewelry, students choose their own projects. Contact Jim Rice or Judy Goodwin for availability of specific projects.

Time:  6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Cost:  $185.00, which includes all materials.

REGISTRATION:  Registration begins at noon on the dates below, and remains open until the class fills or until three working days before the class begins, whichever comes first. If a date below falls on a weekend or a holiday, registration will open on the first working day after this date:

  • SUMMER SESSION:  May 1 at noon
  • FALL SESSION:  August 10 at noon
  • SPRING SESSION:  December 3 at noon

PLEASE NOTE: You may cancel a craft class up to two weeks before the class begins, with a $30 cancellation fee assessed. No refunds are allowed within two weeks of the start date, nor after the class begins.
 

 

This class is intentionally co-taught, and each instructor brings different areas of expertise that benefit your learning experience. One or both instructors will be present on any given night, and their teaching schedules are subject to change.

Jim Rice has been making and selling jewelry since 1999. He has been teaching Beginning and Intermediate Jewelry since 2001.His jewelry is available  locally at Shoppes at Farmers Hardware and he is a member artist in Main Street Gallery in Blowing Rock, N.C., nd at 20 regional art and craft showseach year. http://www.turtleoldman.com.

Judy Goodwin has been making jewelry for the past twelve years. She has been a teaching assistant and substitute instructor for the past several years as her skill level in a variety of metalsmithing techniques continues to expand.
